Forward to calendar

The email agent helps you handle scheduling and follow-ups directly from your inbox.

It is a reactive feature, which means:

  • It does nothing in the background

  • It never intervenes on its own

  • It only acts when you ask it to

You involve the email agent by:

  • CC’ing Trickle on an email

  • Forwarding an email to Trickle

What the Forward agent does

Use the Forward agent when the meeting or event details are already decided and written down.

Instead of proposing times, Trickle will create the calendar event directly.

The Forward agent is best used when an email already contains clear event information, such as:

  • a confirmed date and time

  • an event name or title

  • optionally a location or call link

Examples:

  • Event confirmations

  • Webinar invites

  • Travel bookings

  • “Your appointment is confirmed for…” emails

If you’re still figuring out when to meet, use the Cc agent instead.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the email that describes the event

  2. Forward it to assistant@chat.trickle.ai

  3. (Optional) Add a short note like “create event”

  4. Send

Requirements

To create an event, the forwarded email must include:

  • Date

  • Time

  • Event title (the email subject line is usually enough)

If any of these are missing, Trickle will not be able to add the event to your calendar.

If present, Trickle will also use:

  • Location (address or place name)

  • Call link (Zoom, Teams, Meet, etc.)

  • Timezone

  • Duration

What happens after you forward

Once Trickle processes the email:

  • The event is created immediately

  • No reply email is sent

  • The event appears in your calendar

  • The location and call link are added if available

  • Travel time is applied if enabled and an address is provided

  • Your default calendar is used unless otherwise specified

You can open your calendar right away to review the event.

Requirements

For the CC Agent to propose and book times:

  • You need an active meeting link in your Trickle settings

  • Calendar availability must be enabled

If availability is disabled, Trickle may fall back to a booking link with limited options.
