Mail template's to give extra information to the security team
Hi,
I'm contacting you in regards to this ticket that <user> logged in your support systems.
<user> is trying to use our mobile app that we have developed with our startup called trickle (https://trickle.ai) but has come up to notification indicating they need Administrator consent.
Some information about what trickle does:
Trickle allows users to more efficiently setup a meeting with other people. It is similar to Doodle, but without having to enter your available timeslots yourself.
Trickle will suggest any available timeslots for the whole group of participants in the meeting automatically by connecting to each participants multiple calendars configured in Trickle.
We've launched on both Apple & Google App stores.
Trickle has its offices at Corda Campus, Hasselt, Belgium.
The trickle mobile app is used on a user by user basis. We offer both a free plan as well as paid plans.
One of <user>’s calendars is ofcourse their work calendar at your company, so that's why they requested the Trickle app have access to their calendar.
How trickle gets access to a users calendar account:
We do this through an OAuth app in Azure or Google, depending on which platform you host your emails/calendars on
These apps have been verified by Microsoft and Google
We request the user give our app the consent to access their calendar through the Microsoft Graph/Google APIs.
We request access that limit our own access only to the resources the user has access to themselves ( delegated permissions )
We are not requesting access to the whole organisation. Only to the calendars on a user by user basis, initiated and consented by this user themselves.
Both Google and Microsoft have account management portals that allow the user to revoke access to our app at any given time.
I'm not 100% familiar with what notification/request you have received on your end. I imagine it's asking for an admin consent. I believe you'll have the option to allow this specifically for Joke or "whitelist" it for all users in the organisation (this does not mean giving us access to all users calendars, they still have to consent on a user by user basis).
Please let me know if you require any additional information.
We are very grateful for any insights in what would help give you the information you need to proceed in allowing your employees to connect their calendar with trickle.
Kind regards,
….
