Permissions
Mail template to give extra information.
Hi,
I’m trying to use the Trickle mobile app (https://trickle.ai) with my work calendar, but I’m running into a notification that says Administrator consent is required.
To give you some context: Trickle is a scheduling app (similar to Doodle) that automatically suggests available times for all participants by connecting to their calendars. It’s available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play:
The app is meant for individual use, with both free and paid plans. One of my connected calendars is, of course, my work calendar here at the company — which is why I’m requesting access through IT.
How Trickle accesses a user’s calendar:
It uses OAuth apps in Azure or Google, depending on the email/calendar platform.
These apps are verified by Microsoft and Google.
Permissions are delegated — meaning Trickle only has access to the same resources I personally have access to.
It does not request organization-wide access, only to my calendar, and only with my consent.
I can revoke access at any time through my Microsoft or Google account management portal.
I’m not sure what type of request you see on your side, but I assume it’s asking for an admin consent. From what I understand, you should be able to either approve this specifically for my account, or whitelist the app for the organization. Even if whitelisted, each user still has to consent individually before Trickle can access their calendars.
Could you let me know what information you need from me to proceed? I’d really appreciate your help in enabling this so I can connect my work calendar with Trickle.
Kind regards,
